Have you ever thought that Drought Disaster Jack of the Hundred Beasts was a Mermaid?

So is Jack really a Mermaid or not?

One Piece Vivre Card Databook volume 11 recently confirmed that Jack is indeed of the Merman race, Brindle Bass to be exact.

This fish, whose Latin name is Epinephelus Lanceolatus, is a large fish that can grow up to 2.7 meters tall and weigh up to 300 kg.

The fact that Jack is a mermaid could explain why when Jack’s ship was sunk by Zunesha, he survived despite being unable to swim due to eating a devil fruit.

This also means that Jack is the second Fishman known to have eaten a devil fruit, after Vander Decken IX, who ate Mato Mato’s devil fruit.

With Jack’s identity as a Fishman revealed, a new question arose: `Why is Jack called younger brother by the King and Queen of the Kaido pirates?`.

One Piece: Drought Jack is a Merman, so... not blood brothers with King and Queen

With what he has seen, Jack is actually a Fishman, not a Mermen – a mermaid whose upper half is human, lower half is fish.

From there, the relationship between King, Queen and Jack could just be that of adoptive brothers, similar to the brotherly relationship between Luffy, Ace and Sabo, who became sworn brothers after swearing a cup of wine.

Additionally, on Jack’s card in Vivre Card Databook 11 it is mentioned that Jack joined Kaido’s Pirates when he was only 8 years old.

Was Jack called brother by King and Queen from a young age so he joined the pirate crew when he was only 8 years old?

The card also mentioned the details that although Jack always looked like a cruel person, Jack actually had a tendency to be quiet.

So what do you think about Jack’s background and his personality?
